About MaryMary Lello - Farmington Acupuncture

I graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1998 with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. I am licensed by the Maine Board of Complementary Health Care Providers in the state of Maine and a Diplomate of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), which upholds national standards for professional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practitioners. I am trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese Acupuncture, and Acutonics, which is a sound-based healing system that uses no needles.

Prior to moving to Farmington in 2013 I owned my own acupuncture practice in Portland, Maine for 16 years

I was one of a team of acupuncturists to organize and operate Portland Veterans Acupuncture Clinic (PVAC) in the Portland area starting in 2007. This weekly clinic continues to offer free care to veterans and their family members and has been proven effective in reducing PTSD, combat fatigue, insomnia, and pain and in affording these warriors a better quality of life. PVAC is considered one of the best clinics in the country according to Acupuncturists Without Borders, an organization dedicated to offering free acupuncture to trauma victims nationally and internationally.

I also hold a Bachelor of Science in education and was a high school science teacher and environmental educator for children and adults for 17 years. I enjoy giving educational talks and I have done presentations around the state at the various University of Maine systems as well as health fairs and Western health care provider conferences.

I am a great outdoor enthusiast. When I'm not in the acupuncture office you can find me either cycling on a road or mountain bike, hiking in these western mountains or paddling the many rivers and lakes in the area with my husband, Dave.
